MARX - your partner for melting and heating systems since 1962

In 1962 the foundation stone for today's family business was laid. The Marx company has developed from a small workshop for electric motors and transformers with a total of three independent locations in Germany. Today Marx is known worldwide as a reliable supplier and service partner in the field of melting and heating technology in the foundry and extrusion industry.

1962 – 1971

• Founding of today's MARX GmbH & Co. KG by Mr. Erich Marx.

• At that time, the area of ​​responsibility included motor repairs, transformer conversions and the repair of inductors.

• Wolfgang Eckenbach, who was with the company from the beginning, became an authorized signatory in 1967

1972 – 1980

• 10 years after the founding, Wolfgang Eckenbach took over the management from the outgoing managing director Erich Marx.

• Under his leadership, the company developed from a former repair company to a supplier of complete systems for the field of inductive melting and heating technology.

1981 – 2005

• Expansion of our service network in Germany with two new locations in southern and eastern Germany.

• 1981 Foundation of the second company "MARX Ofenbau GmbH" in Donauwörth.

• 1995 Foundation of the third company "MARX Elektrowärme GmbH" in Hennigsdorf.

2006 – 2007

• New hall to expand the production area in Donauwörth and Iserlohn.

• Upgrading of the machine park for the production and repair of ladles and steel construction for the foundry industry.

• Handover of overall responsibility from Wolfgang Eckenbach to his sons Guido and Christian.

2008 – Today

• 2008 Foundation of the fourth company "MARX LLC" in Youngstown, Ohio, USA.

• 2010 New hall to expand the production area in Iserlohn

• 2011 Investment in a new production hall together with our cooperation partner Lake Park Tool & Machine Inc. in the USA.

• 2016 New hall to expand the production area in Donauwörth.

The previous developments have always been made with the aim of improving our service and have contributed to being able to offer optimal customer proximity, fast and competent solutions from our areas of activity, as well as constantly growing know-how.
